Terms of Service

Welcome to Edgelin, a product of Sverige Analytics AB (Organization Number: 559538-4917), a company registered in Umeå, Sweden. By accessing or using our enterprise reverse proxy caching service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

Edgelin provides enterprise reverse proxy caching services designed to improve the performance and reliability of your web infrastructure. Our service includes cache management, analytics, and related features as described on our website.

2. Account Registration

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Transmit malicious code or malware
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with other users' access to the service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Cache or distribute prohibited content

4. Client Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the availability, performance, and proper configuration of your backend server infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Ensuring your origin servers are operational and accessible
• Configuring firewalls and security groups to permit connections from Edgelin's service infrastructure
• Implementing appropriate rate limiting policies on your backend to prevent service degradation
• Maintaining adequate server capacity to handle cache miss requests

Edgelin cannot be held liable for service interruptions, degraded performance, or connectivity failures resulting from misconfigured firewalls, inadequate rate limiting, backend server downtime, or other infrastructure issues under your control. You acknowledge that proper backend configuration is essential for optimal service operation.

5. Service Pricing

Edgelin operates on a transparent usage-based pricing model. You are charged only for the data transferred through our caching infrastructure. The first 25 GB of data transfer per month is provided free of charge.

Pricing tiers are as follows:

• First 25 GB: Free
• 0-1 TB: €0.01 per GB
• 1-50 TB: €0.008 per GB
• 50+ TB: €0.006 per GB

Volume discounts are automatically applied as your usage increases. All pricing is in Euros (EUR) and excludes applicable taxes.

6. Billing and Payment Terms

On the first day of each calendar month, we will calculate your total data transfer usage for the previous month and generate an invoice. Invoices are delivered electronically to the email address associated with your account. Payment is due within 14 calendar days from the invoice date.

All amounts are stated in Euros (EUR) and exclude any applicable taxes, duties, or levies, including Value Added Tax (VAT), which are your responsibility. We accept payment via the methods specified on your invoice.

Charges are based on actual data transferred and are non-refundable. If you terminate your account mid-month, you will be charged for all data transferred up to the point of termination. There are no refunds for unused portions of the billing period or for the free tier allowance.

Failure to remit payment within the specified timeframe may result in temporary suspension of service access until outstanding balances are settled. Repeated non-payment may lead to permanent account termination. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the maximum rate permitted by applicable law.

Should you dispute any invoice, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of the invoice date. Disputes do not relieve you of the obligation to pay undisputed portions of the invoice.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain a 99.9% uptime service level agreement (SLA). However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily limits availability. We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

8. Inactive Endpoint Management

To maintain optimal service performance and resource allocation, endpoints that remain inactive for a continuous period of 7 days will be automatically removed from our system. An endpoint is considered inactive the DNS of the provided hostname does not point to our edge IP address.

Prior to removal, we will send a notification to the email address associated with your account, providing you with an opportunity to retain the endpoint if needed. You may reactivate or re-add any previously removed endpoint at any time through your account dashboard at no additional cost. This policy ensures efficient resource management while maintaining flexibility for your caching needs.

9. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Edgelin service at any time, including features, functionality, or technical specifications, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the service.

While we strive to provide advance notice of material changes that may adversely affect your use of the service, we are not obligated to do so. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service or any features thereof.

Continued use of the service following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of such changes. If you do not agree with any modifications, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the service.

10. Data and Content

You retain ownership of content you cache through our service. You grant us permission to process and cache your content as necessary to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to cache all content.

11. Data Protection and Privacy

As a Swedish company, Sverige Analytics AB is committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws. We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

You acknowledge and agree that in providing the caching service, we may process data on your behalf. You represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents and have the legal right to process and transfer any personal data through our service.

12. Data Retention

Cached content is stored temporarily and expires automatically based on cache headers and our cache policies. You may terminate your account at any time, which will result in the immediate removal of your account data from our systems. Upon account termination, all associated configuration data, analytics, and account information will be permanently deleted.

Please note that cached content may remain in our edge network until its natural expiration time as determined by cache control directives. We do not retain account data or personal information after account termination beyond what is required by law for billing and compliance purposes.

13. Intellectual Property

The Edgelin service, including all software, designs, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials without permission.

14. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for non-payment. Upon termination, you will immediately lose access to the service and your account data will be deleted as described in Section 11 (Data Retention).

15. Warranties and Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intent. If such modification is not possible, the invalid provision shall be severed from these Terms.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.
